How to use notifications

Before being able to capture global notifications on your Android device, necessary permissions must be enabled in advance. No rooting needed!
The app will automatically open up the “Notification access”-settings page on the very first launch after installation, where the Android user has to manually grant the Revcode app the necessary permissions.

Have a look on a preview screenshot of the “Notification access”-setting page by clicking here.

The notification access permission for the RevCode doesn’t have to be granted on the very first launch, but may also be granted manually at a later moment by following these steps to bring the “Notification access”-settings page:

For those running versions of Android 4.3 to 6.0 “Notification access” can be reached from Settings > Sound and notifications > Notification access.

For those running versions of Android 7.0  “Notification access” can be reached from Settings > Apps > click cogwheel > Special Access > Notification access.

For those running versions of Android 8.0 to 8.1  “Notification access” can be reached from Settings > Apps > 3-dot cog/Settings -> Special Access > Notification access.

Ensure the Revcode app is granted permission.

NOTE: There is no requirement for the notification permission to be enabled in order for other features to operate normally.

In order to view captured notifications, please head to Observers -> Notifications in your WebMonitor panel for the specific Android client you wish to view notifications from, right click on the calendar and choose “Receive log”. The results (if any) will be displayed in a separate log next to the calendar.
